Well here is the NEW full tank shot. This image is more blue then what my tank appears in real life, but you can see the overall layout now. I like this much better then the slope. A big thanks goes out to my friend Andy (Schminksbro on the reef boards) for his help.
Well.... I did a MAJOR scene change yesterday. My friend Andy came up and offered his help in the reaquascaping, and it went very well! Of course we were at it for most of the afternoon and evening. A HUGE thank you goes out to Andy (Scminksbro on the Reef forums) for all the help. I will be taking new pictures this afternoon after lights come on.

Stay tuned for more!

Today I cleaned the K2 skimmers cup, it is getting darker, and more NASTY by the day. This was a good choice for me. I also took apart my Vortech MP-40w for cleaning, it is soaking in a vinegar solution now.

I am seriously thinking about re-aquascaping the tank, but the size of the caps really makes that a tough call. Especially with plans for a DIY 120 in the works. I have also noticed an increase or maybe bloom is a better word of red cyano algae. I am guessing that it is caused by the previous DIY food that I used for about a month. I have switched to "Rods Food" which so far has been a big hit. Currently my feeding includes, 1 tablespoon of Arctipods, 1 Tbs Oyster Eggs, both from Reef Nutrition, I also feed a piece of PE Mysis, about 1.5" by 1/2" and about the same sized piece of Rod's daily. In addition to that, I feed a couple of pinches of Spectrum pellets a couple times a day.

At this point I am also thinking of adding a second MP40, I will need it for sure with the 120, and I may be able to get a good/better deal at this time of year, as people are taking down tanks, or at least moving them down the priority list.

Test for image posting:

My first reef blog

Today is a new day for me, my first post documenting my 90 gallon reef tank. This is more of a test then an actual entry at this point.
